Meet Bom.

This is Bom, my one year old JackChi. She's so cute &really different from all the other dogs. My brother & I adopted her over my Thanksgiving break at Peninsula SPCA. From what we know so far is that she doesn't like toys (yet), is a picky eater, likes everyone, & growls at most big dogs (her small dog syndrome), but has pretty bad separation anxiety when my brother & I especially leave her at the moment. I really hope she gets over that, but only time will tell.

It was funny how we brought her home. We told our mom first that we adopted a dog because we knew if we told our dad, he would say no immediately. Once we brought her home, my dad said no to my mom, who brought her in. In response, my mom said, "You can't say no, this is my birthday present." Lol, momma's a g for that. Then my dad was telling Bom that he's going to put her in the microwave & after he said that to her, Bom just started licking my dad. Lol. This bitch.

New Toy: Nikon D3000.

I received my Nikon D3000, an early Christmas & kinda early birthday present to myself, in the mail on Thursday. I've never used a DSLR before, but I have used a film SLR. My dad used to own a Canon film SLR from the early '90s, but he gave it to one of his brothers when we went to the Philippines in 2007. I wish he still kept it. It gave off a vignette picture when developed. Anyways, I'm lovin' it. Hella better resolution &quality of pictures than my mediocre Sony Cybershot from two-three years ago. I'm in the process of learning how to use DSLRs & the D3000's guide feature is pretty helpful for noobs like me. Besides the guide feature, I hope my dad remembers how to use SLRs so he can teach me. (:

Here's a few pictures I've taken since I've gotten it. Enjoy.

"Auntie Bren, look! I'm Wonder Woman!"

Today was quite a productive day, in terms with family relationships & personal activities. Although I didn't go to my first class this morning, I did other school work to make up for it. I attempted to do my statistics project before my philosophy class & during anthropology. I did get a little done though. At the last few moments of anthropology lecture, Amanda & I attempted to leave class a bit early 'cause our professor was in another room proctoring the midterm we had on Friday to those who haven't taken it yet. But he came in when we were about to leave. We didn't want to make a lot of noise when leaving, so we hesitated for a bit. It was quite funny.

My brother picked me up from school & we had our little brother-sister day. We haven't had one in the longest time 'cause we're both busy with school, &work (&his then-girlfriend). It felt good hanging out with my brother again. I missed it a lot. We first went to eat lunch at Bashful Bull on Noriega. Both of us never ate here before, but we found it to be pretty good. It was like those ordinary mom & pop cafes run by Asians who serve Asian & American food. Typical mediocre service & food, but great special pricing.

Afterwards, we went to visit my grandpa at his elder care home. I haven't seen him since his birthday/before I left for Phoenix in the summer, July 20th. Yeah, its been a long time 'cause I'm always busy with school & work. :/ He didn't recognize me at first. I guess he thought I've grown more mature in the past three & a half months. He was very happy & surprised to see me. I was really happy to see him too & we had a good talk too. We had a brief visit 'cause we were going to Vallejo right after.

My brother & I then went to Vallejo to our cousin's house to visit his family. We drove the backroads, the Golden Gate Bridge route, to save a bit money instead of going through the Bay Bridge/Carquinez Bridge route. Highway 37 is a pretty route to drive, with all the cows, farms, &marshes. To kill time, we went to Super Walmart in American Canyon 'cause I needed to buy myself feminine products. I asked my brother if he wanted anything. He only wanted a Snickers bar. When I was at the checkout counter, it truly looked like I was on my period (which I really am), holding a box of tampons, pads, & a Snickers bar. It was an interesting image.

When we went to my cousin's house, he wasn't there 'cause he had to work overtime. But his wife, who's so much like a sister to my brother & I, & his kids were there. We ate pizza & played with our niece & nephew. I've missed them so. I haven seen them in a couple weeks &it felt good playing with them again. My six year old nephew, Kyle, read me his book from school. My three year old niece, Katelyn, is so cute. She always asks me to show her Taeyang's "Look Only at Me" music video. haha. She likes the dancing in the video. Then all of a sudden, she says "Auntie Bren, can I show you my costume?!" Then she runs to her room & dresses up in her Halloween costume, Wonder Woman! Its so cute. I swear she's gonna be the biggest heartbreaker when she grows up. These kids are growing up so fast & starting to make me feel older.

The drive back home with my brother was funny. My brother made me plug in my iPhone to his car's iPod jack 'cause he knows I have hella KPop Big Bang songs in it. He started doing the dances from Gara Gara Go while driving. It was hilarious. I wish I could've recorded it. Overall, I felt today was a good day.

Now back to mediocre statistics homework. Bleh.

Happy Birthday Choi SeungHyun!

*This blog entry is solely for fun & laughs; please don't take any of this seriously. Inspired by The Korean Pop Addict.

Today (yesterday in KST) is my "future Korean baby daddy", Choi SeungHyun's birthday. [Justin Nozuka is my future Hapa baby daddy.] Many know him as T.O.P. from Korean boy band Big Bang. Oh gosh, how do I begin talking about this gorgeous man? Like TKPA said, it is hard writing about T.O.P. without being clean. I find it funny how I went from lusting over Taeyang to T.O.P. Maybe it's ...

his gorgeous eyes that lure you in with that gaze,

how cute he looks when he laughs/smiles,

sense of style, sense of humor, his sexy voice, the way he speaks English, when he curses in English, how hot he looks when he rides motorcycles (as seen in "I Am Sam", Gummy's "I'm Sorry", & "Big Boy"), his infinite number of priceless facial expressions, or the way his voice sounds way sexier when he sings that made me swoon over him. There are infinite reasons why this gorgeous man got me lusting over him; whatever reason, he is my future Korean baby daddy.

We all, well .. most of us, know that he's a freak 'cause he's a "Big Boy" who likes hairpulling &doing it rough. And if you notice, he is most definitely an "ass man" (in my opinion). Just listen to/read the lyrics to his raps in some of Big Bang's songs carefully. I'm serious. On a serious note, songs he composed "As if Nothing's Wrong", "A Good Man", & "Friend" were more emotional & personal. These three songs are in my most played song list on iTunes 'cause they're so relatable.

If ever meet T.O.P., I swear I would never ever go all "crazy fangirl" on him. That would scare the living crap out of his beautiful face. Instead, I'll try to keep my composure, be normal, &not touch him (unless he touches me first) 'cause we all know that he doesn't really like being touched. I would make him as many ice cream creations & cakes he would want, taking his love of ice cream into consideration. Oh the benefits of being a Cold Stone employee.

If Big Bang would pick me from the audience to be their "girlfriend", you already know who I'd pick. From the Youtube videos I've seen of them picking their "girfriends", these girls are so shy! I can't blame them though; I would most likely get weak in the knees & be a bit speechless. But shoot, I would at the very least be like my normal self & dance along to the song they're singing to me.

Last night, us Big Bang/T.O.P./K-Pop fans broke into the Twitter world with making #happybdaytop a trending topic. It reached to the 4th most tweeted. Thanks to TPKA for arranging this Twitter event.

Happy 22nd/23rd birthday, boothang.

Tattoos.

Just recently, my brother & I discussed what we want to get inked. I've been thinking about getting inked up for the past two years now. So many ideas passed through my mind. But I want my first one to have a very significant meaning. After almost two years of contemplating, I have decided to get "believe (maniwala)" in tribal alibata script on my inner forearm near the elbow.

Another idea I had in mind was a phoenix. I originally wanted the phoenix to be a rib piece, but I know that would hurt like a motha'. Plus, hella people been hyping phoenix tattoos up since I mentioned on getting it two years ago. So I decided (if I were to get it) to alterate it a bit by just having the phoenix wings on my shoulders.

My brother wants me & him to have matching tattoos with our cousins -- our grandfather's (mom's side) name, Ignacio. There are a few reasons why we should get his name & not our other grandparents (not to avoid our other grandparents in any manner).
  1. We never met any of our other grandparents.
  2. He basically raised/took care of all of us while our parents were working when we were younger.
  3. He's the only one who's still alive.
I totally agree with my brother on getting our grandpa's name. Just where though .. ?

So these are the few tattoo ideas I am willing to go through. Now, I need to find me a sick tattoo artist. (:

Meet Justin Nozuka on Tour!

Halloween / Great America's Halloween Haunt.

This year's Halloween was alright. I didn't really celebrate it 'cause I had work today. Most of my Saturday coworkers requested Halloween off, while I didn't. But I got Hallow's Eve off instead.

Amanda, Steven, & I went to Great America's Halloween Haunt, which is Great America's Halloween themed park night event, last night. And boy, I never knew that I would've been that scared. Honestly, I don't get scared that much, but I get scared pretty easily. Great America did a very good job at decorating the park with the haunted theme: pretty dark throughout the park (there weren't that many lights on), fog machines, & actors dressed up/acted really scary. I haven't been to Great America since the 8th grade, I think. So many changes since then. Paramount sold the park to Cedar Fair Entertainment Company & renamed so many rides. We didn't ride that many rides because of the short amount of time, long lines, &so many were closed. They kept their most popular ones open. We rode Flight Deck, Psycho Mouse, Logger's Run, Celebration Swings, & Drop Zone. I almost lost my voice due to screaming from being scared & the roller coasters. I rode Drop Zone for the first time last night. I have a small fear of heights (yet I hella want to go skydiving) &I was so scared to get on. I was shaking right after I got off, but during the fall, it felt incredible. I love the feeling of flying. During Logger's Run, actors would attempt to scare you throughout most of the course. I got scared a couple of times &pretty soaked at the end. When we were in "Werewolf Canyon", this werewolf kept on scaring me. :[ It was pretty dark in that area too. Overall, I did have a good time. I conquered riding Drop Zone & got spooked a couple of times along the way.
