RIP HUF SF.

Keith Hufnagel, owner and founder of San Francisco-originated skatewear brand & store HUF, has officially stated that he's closing down their final San Francisco location. It's heartbreaking to hear that a San Francisco-based company is closing their doors but keeping their Los Angeles location. For the past nine years, I have gotten many of my sneakers here & friendships were made with some of the employees. HUF SF has really brought skatewear & streetwear to SF, more or a bit less. I will truly miss HUF SF.

"I Left My Heart in San Francisco".

Mayer Hawthorne's last show of his US tour is going to be next Thursday, April 15th at The Warfield. (I wish I was going! :[ ) To commemorate the end of his tour, his record label Stones Throw teamed up with Huf & Freegums on an exclusive Mayer Hawthorne collabo pack which includes a shirt (comes in black or white) & a heart-shaped USB with Mayer Hawthorne's rendition of Tony Bennet's "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" pre-loaded onto each USB.

HUF also made a video to go along with the pack featuring Keith Hufnagel, Billy Teichen and a couple other dirtbags. The video was filmed and edited by Martin Reigel.

HUF for Converse 1HUND(RED) Artists Skidgrip Hi

I came by the Huf near my house to check out the Huf for Converse 1Hund(RED)s this past weekend & to say whats up to DonPoppa & Fitz since I haven't seen them in awhile. These are pretty sick. I'm thinking about purchasing them 'cause 1. I want new sneakers, 2. they're pretty cute on females, & 3. cause I missed out on the Vans' 3FeetHigh x Huf sneakers last summer. By the way, I'm hella out of the shoe game.

"Enlisted as a contributor to the 1HUND(RED) project, Keith Hufnagel and Hanni El Khatib, worked with Converse designers to create the Huf version of the Converse Skidgrip, a shoe from the Converse archives that originally debuted in the 1980s. “We wanted to reference the skate and surf vibe of the 1980s and the Skidgrip was a great, authentic foundation.” Keeping the styling clean and simple Huf gave it monochromatic black canvas uppers with a repeat “H” pattern on outer and lining that subtly references vintage skate graphics and type.

As a contributor to 1HUND(RED), a percentage of the net wholesale price of the shoe will go to help fight AIDS in Africa, giving consumers an opportunity to become agents of change and offering a way to turn design into power."
