Italian design group, N9ve, did an awesome typography video on the alphabet with correlating fonts that matches the letter. Kinda wished they avoided Arial though.

It's a cruel, cruel summer.

"Domestic Transformer."

In Hong Kong, because of the space, apartments are small and expensive. Gary Chang, an architect, decided to design a 344 sq. ft. apartment to be able to change into 24 different designs, all by just sliding panels and walls. He calls this the "Domestic Transformer."

I find this really innovative & inspiring.

"Almost"

Last Sunday morning, I shot a video with my friend & his friends for Jennifer Chung's video contest. My first time acting .. ever (besides for school). It was fun being apart this project. Since it was a sad song, it was pretty hard keeping my laughter & smiling in, especially when we first started recording. (If you know me personally, you know that it's hard for me to do so.) But once I started feeling the song, it was easy to channel the emotion we were going for (plus, that was what I kinda felt that day). Yes, I know the storyline is kind of confusing to follow, but the song is short to begin with; so we had to condense the it.

Anyways, enjoy my super amateur acting skills. (:

"I Left My Heart in San Francisco".

Mayer Hawthorne's last show of his US tour is going to be next Thursday, April 15th at The Warfield. (I wish I was going! :[ ) To commemorate the end of his tour, his record label Stones Throw teamed up with Huf & Freegums on an exclusive Mayer Hawthorne collabo pack which includes a shirt (comes in black or white) & a heart-shaped USB with Mayer Hawthorne's rendition of Tony Bennet's "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" pre-loaded onto each USB.

HUF also made a video to go along with the pack featuring Keith Hufnagel, Billy Teichen and a couple other dirtbags. The video was filmed and edited by Martin Reigel.

My Heart is Yours.

Justin Nozuka's music video for his new single, "My Heart is Yours", came out today. Whoever knows how much of a Justin Nozuka fan I am would know how ecstatic I was to find out that it came out today. I always will be forever in love with his voice, sound, & style. "My Heart is Yours" is such a beautiful & chill song. For some reason, I found watching him in the video kinda weird. I don't know why; maybe 'cause I'm so used to watching him live in person & his live performance clips on Youtube. The video seems very Justin-like & it was really nice to see his bandmates & manager in the vid too. I really really really can not wait until his sophomore album comes out.

Hypebeast.tv recently visited the Married to the Mob office, my favorite female streetwear brand. Founded by Leah McSweeney in 2004, its been one of the very few female streetwear brands out there. She recently collaborated with Lacoste on a sneaker, which was inspired by Christian Louboutin's. I love this video 'cause MTTM fans, like myself, get to see a behind-the-scenes look of MTTM, find out what inspires the HBIC Leah, & the evolution of her clothing line.

Sorry that I haven't updated in a couple of weeks. I've just ended my fall semester on Monday & I've been kinda busy since school ended 'cause of the holidays. Random fact #1: I like listening to KPop, especially Big Bang.



Yesterday, YG Entertainment released Big Bang's Tae Yang's new single, "Where U At" from his second solo album, after about a year & a half since his last single. It was love at first listen for me. The beat is quite catchy & great to dance to. Lyle Beniga & Shaun Evaristo, two of my favorite choreographers, choreographed the dancing in his music video & are featured in Tae Yang's music video as well. The dancing is great; its very Lyle & Shaun style. His singing (& english), in my opinion, has gotten really better compared to when he first started out.


Big Bang is releasing their next Japanese single soon & Tae Yang's next single from his second solo album will be released right after. There are also talks that T.O.P will also release his first solo album in the next few months. I can't wait; I need some new Big Bang songs in my iTunes.

I find "The Tenderloin Project" to be quite inspiring. I think it really shows one of the most poverty-stricken, drugfilled, &dangerous neighborhood in SF in many different ways: in a brighter light, a view that many people may not see when they go through the Tenderloin; feel the tenants of the Tenderloin's struggle; & their personal happiness of living there.
